Delete your Recovify account
Last updated: 6 August 2026
You can delete your Recovify account and the personal data attached to it at any time. There are two ways to do it — in the app, or by emailing us.
1. Delete it yourself in the app
- Open the Recovify app and sign in.
- Go to Profile › Settings.
- Under Danger Zone, tap Delete Account.
- Confirm it is you by entering your email address and password (accounts that sign in with Google or Apple enter their email only).
- Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.
2. Ask us to delete it
If you can no longer sign in, email support@recovify.app from the address on your account, with the subject Account deletion request. We will verify that the request is genuinely yours and delete the account within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number, photo and password.
- Your customer, business or driver profile details and vehicle information.
- Your uploaded verification documents and photos.
- Your chat messages and photo attachments are disconnected from you and anonymised.
- Your saved login sessions and push-notification tokens, so the app signs out everywhere.
What we have to keep, and for how long
Some records cannot be erased outright because the law requires us to keep them:
- Payment and job records — kept in anonymised or minimal form for up to 6 years, because HMRC requires financial records to be retained. They no longer identify you.
- Reviews you left — kept without your name, because they reflect other users' genuine experiences.
Before you can delete: an account with a job in progress or money still held in escrow cannot be deleted until that job finishes or is cancelled and refunded — otherwise the other party would be left mid-job with your money in the platform. Finish or cancel any active job first, then delete.
